Marek is a highly-respected university-level professor, working with undergraduates, MBA and Executive MBA students.

  • More than 15 years at SGH Warsaw School of Economics as an assistant (1996 – 2005) in the Small Business Department and as an assistant professor (2005-2014) in the Institute of Value Management
  • Accomplished lecturer at SGH, engaging audiences with the following subjects: Business Valuation, Private Equity, Business Plan – E-Learning, Investment Project Financial Analysis with Excel, Management and Leveraged Buyouts, Financial Statements Analysis, Corporate Governance and Value Based Management
  • Management training consultant, working hand-in-hand with some of the largest Polish companies, including KGHM Polska Miedź SA (top 10 copper and top 3 silver producer worldwide), PKN Orlen SA (Poland’s largest oil refiner), Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn-Koźle SA and Zakłady Chemiczne Police SA (one of the largest chemical manufacturers in Poland)

Marek travels internationally as a visiting scholar and professor, teaching university-level courses for undergraduates, MBA and Executive MBA students.

  • In 2018, Marek taught Finance at VanWest College in Vancouver
  • In 2017, at SFU Beedie School of Business in Vancouver, he taught Entrepreneurial Finance, a 20-hour EMBA course using a case study method
  • From July to December 2012, he served as a visiting scholar at the NYU Stern School of Business in the Department of Finance, where he participated in seminars and lectures and worked on his textbook about project finance. (hyperlink)
  • In 2010, he was a visiting scholar at IESE Business School in Barcelona where he received training in writing case studies and in teaching using the case study method
